Documentary in six chapters of the homonymous Luca Pozzi’s solo show at Fondazione Modena Arti Visive. Press Release: FMAV Fondazione Modena Arti Visive presents, starting from 10 September 2021, Hyperinascimento, an exhibition by Luca Pozzi curated by Lorenzo Respi, under the patronage of the Emilia-Romagna Region, which will take place until 31 January 2022 in Modena. With this title the artist launches the idea of ​​a new humanism that brings together art history, quantum gravity, multi-messenger cosmology and AI with an interdisciplinary perspective that has its roots in the Renaissance and then explores the world through the eyes of contemporary science and technologies. “In a moment in which we are trying to restart”, explains Luca Pozzi, “the Hyper approach to the Renaissance transforms the works of the past into real technological devices, churches, temples and museums into avant-garde scientific equipment, the substance of our bodies in quantum-bits of pure information. The Hyper-Renaissance does not place man at the center, but the most intangible and sophisticated language of nature: experiences of poly-location, temporal non-linearity and dimensional increase “. Each step, each leap of scale, each action is never a fracture or interruption of the cycle; in the Hyper-Renaissance each ring is linked to the other in holistic terms, making the hyper-connectivity of the whole with its parts even more real and symbiotic, as if it were a huge living organism. Precisely due to its innovative and digital nature, the exhibition is also a contribution by FMAV to support the candidacy of Modena Unesco Creative City 2021 for Media Arts. The exhibition itinerary starts with two large immersive environments: the first, analogue, is entitled The Grandmother Platform – a screen-printed digital collage carpet with iconic works of Renaissance culture and high-tech artifacts -; the second, virtual, is called Rosetta Mission 2020 (Oculus VR station) and is produced by the ERC AN-ICON project in collaboration with Casa degli Artisti, configuring the Hyperinascimento project as a 5-dimensional Zen garden. It starts from invisible physical events (magnetic fields and detectors of subatomic particles), to move on websites and different social platforms (Twitter, Instagram), passing through hybrid sculptures of the Arkanians series and finally arriving in real digital spaces, where the laws of physics are revolutionized, upset, in order to gain access to surreal parallel universes. The virtual journey into the Hyper-Renaissance is completed with Third Eye Prophecy Markers (Dark Collection – Sistine Chapel), analogue markers for the activation of digital content of augmented reality, designed in order to evoke a series of site-specific digital sculptures geolocated by Luca Pozzi during the first lockdown at Easter 2020 in the Sistine Chapel of the Vatican museums between the scenes of the New and Old Testament and those of the Last Judgment.
