Wilson Tour Carracci
Photographic serie
Wilson Tour Carracci is a photographic series that involves the Carracci’s frieze masterpiece “Story of the foundation of Rome” realized in 1590 d.C. at Palazzo Magnani in Bologna.
It documents a tennis ball, thrown in front of the 13 scenes painted by Annibale, Agostino and Ludovico, shot in mid-air, creating a new work combining the temporality of a contemporary instant, with that one of a parallel narration.
Bouncing from 2018 d.C. to 753 a.C., that is the year of the foundation of the city of Rome described in the frescoes, the interaction overturns the causality laws.
The Temporal complexity is also expanded by a BEPART augmented reality app for I-Phone and Android available on Google Play and Apple Store, allowing the observation of the real event offering a three-dimensional navigation of the experience as if the launch were in a permanently suspended parenthesis.
