Skill Tunnel Effects

Cyclops

Part of the sculptural group “The Seven Cyclops”, Cyclops Spring-8 is imagined as a connector of mythology, science and spirituality. The gigantism of the head alludes to the legendary world of ancient Greece, the adhesive reflector, each time different, it’s represent, in the case of Spring-8, the logo of the Super Photon Ring - 8 GeV experiment, located in the prefecture Hyōgo Japan. The tennis ball suspended in magnetic pull at the third eye altitude refers to the Hindu practice of the Tilak. A crossroads of references focused on the tension towards the invisible concreteness of physical events in a hyper contemporary reality that appears augmented by new technologies and the latest scientific discoveries.

THE MAJESTIC GAME

Is an interactive installation based on the relationship between architectural space and the viewer. It ‘s composed by a wall entirely covered by ceramic foils, structured by 12 lighting windows and 13 magnetic screens called doors, connected by tennis balls Wilson #1 in magnetic attraction. When the spectator passes in front of the window, it emits a flash of light. The Majestic Game proposes an enhancement of the conventional concept of wall and surface, revealing distortions, strength and energy, instead of a static demarcation, linearity and flatness.

Tunnel Effect Through Malevich Influence

Multidisciplinary parallels attempt to co-exist in this installation, in which a surf (object to move through the water) is found to be the involuntary embodiment of two studies apparently irreconcilable.

On one side there is the tunnel effect of quantum mechanics theorized in 1928 by the Ukrainian researcher George Gamow and at the other side the "Painterly Realism of a Peasant Woman in Two Dimensions called Red Square" painted a few years earlier in 1915 by the russian artist Kasimir Malevich.
