Created on the occasion of a wider project called “SHELTER ISLAND”, The “Third Eye Prophecy for Eternal Peace”, is a loop animation of a digital sculpture that represents a distorted tennis ball with an explosive pupil in the center, which recomposes at high speed, designed to be geolocalized in the most fragile epicentres of global polarizations, thanks to an augmented reality application.
It’s imagined as an archaic element that alludes to the maximum dematerialization, to quantum entanglement, to Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, to the Schrödinger Cat mental experiment, to the energy limit of the Planck Scale. It’s a “WIMP”, literally “good for nothing”, but in the scientific jargon, it represents the acronym of Weakly Interacting Massive Particle. It symbolizes the possibility that complex and apparently incompatible systems can interact with mutual respect.
